On May 20, 2026, the global hydrogen industry once again turned its eyes to Rotterdam, Netherlands, as the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026 kicked off in grand style. As one of the largest and most influential hydrogen events worldwide, this year’s summit brought together thousands of delegates from governments, energy majors, technology innovators, and investment institutions to explore the cutting-edge developments and future pathways of the hydrogen industry.
At this premier green energy event, Shanghai H-Ray S&T Co., Ltd. (Shanghai H-Ray S&T) demonstrated China’s latest breakthroughs and global vision in PEM water electrolysis technologies for green hydrogen production, marked by a clear technological edge and an open, collaborative stance.
A Standout Presence, Powered by Technology
At the exhibition area, Mr. Dalin Hu, Vice General Manager, and Mr. Hanwei Yang, Senior Manager, introduced visitors to H-Ray’s core products and solutions in PEM water electrolysis at the company’s booth, including high-efficiency and high-reliability membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs), electrolysis stacks, and the full range of PEM water electrolysis systems from 1 to 1,000 Nm³/h.

The company’s technical specifications sparked widespread interest among professionals from multiple countries:
Low-PGM MEA: Iridium loading of only 0.5 mg/cm²and platinum loading of 0.2 mg/cm², combined with high durability — degradation rate ≤5μV/h and a design lifetime exceeding 80,000 hours. Its electrochemical performance reaches internationally leading levels: 1.70 V @ 1.5 A/cm² (N115) and 1.70 V @ 2.0 A/cm² (80 μm).

HYZER® Electrolyzer Stacks: Achieving ultra-low energy consumption of 4.1 kWh/Nm³ @ 2.0 A/cm² (80 μm) at high current densities, combined with a wide power load flexibility (10–120%, with hydrogen concentration in oxygen ≤0.20%) and high consistency (maximum voltage deviation ≤35 mV @ 2.0 A/cm²).

RYZER® PEM Electrolysis Systems: Featuring fast dynamic response, high integration, one-touch start-stop technology, and absolute safety. With the ultra-low DC energy consumption of HYZER® stacks, the RYZER system achieves an energy consumption as low as 4.6 kWh/Nm³, significantly reducing the cost of hydrogen for end users.
These metrics not only highlight H-Ray’s deep expertise in core component and system integration but also mark a solid step forward for Chinese enterprises in reducing green hydrogen production costs while enhancing system reliability and performance.
Technical Speech: Dalin Hu on“High-Efficiency PEM Water Electrolysis Technology and Market Prospects”
As a key part of the company’s participation, Mr. Dalin Hu, was invited to deliver a featured speech at the summit’s technical forum, titled“High-Efficiency PEM Water Electrolysis Technology and Market Prospects”

Mr. Hu noted that one of the central challenges facing green hydrogen production worldwide is lowering the cost of PEM electrolysis equipment while ensuring system safety and reliability. In his presentation, he drew on H-Ray’s industrial use cases in next-generation low-PGM MEAs to offer an in-depth analysis of the cost-reduction pathway — from MEAs and stacks to system integration. Following the speech, numerous technical experts from Europe and the Middle East engaged him in in-depth discussions and spoke highly of H-Ray’s technological approach.
Building Bridges: From Exhibition Encounters to In-Depth Cooperation
The exhibition is not only a stage to showcase technology but also a vital bridge connecting the global hydrogen ecosystem. Over the three-day event, the H-Ray booth received numerous representatives from hydrogen end-users, green hydrogen project developers, and EPC companies from around the world, all of whom showed strong interest in the company’s technological breakthroughs and expressed potential collaboration intentions.

Notably, Mr. Dalin Hu and Mr. Hanwei Yang jointly met with partners from Croatia. The two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation on-site, aiming to jointly develop green hydrogen projects in the European and Mid-east region.
Chinese Strength on the Global Stage
The 2026 World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam has come to a close, but Shanghai H-Ray S&T’s impact at this global event is far from fading. From an impressive showcase of leading core technical indicators to thought leadership on the forum stage, and then to the orderly advancement of concrete commercial partnerships, H-Ray has responded decisively to the global hydrogen industry’s urgent demand for high-reliability, low-cost, and scalable PEM hydrogen production technology.
Looking ahead, Shanghai H-Ray S&T will continue to uphold its technical philosophy of“reliable, efficient, and customized”solutions, working with global partners to write a new chapter in the green hydrogen future.
